So for a second weekend we see our grounds washed out, lucky our Junior Rep sides are playing in Manly
and Seven Hills on Synthetic pitches which don't get shut down by rain.
Synthetic is the buzz word around facilities moving forward, but what does the Bankstown Football community think of it?
Do we continue to try lobby for Bankstown synthetic surfaces in Bankstown? Would we embrace the non-traditional surface in our area?
We'd love to hear your thoughts?
Yagoona Lions FC keep the flag up very proud for their club and all of Bankstown as their dream run continues in the FFA Cup with a great win in Wagga Wagga over the weekend.
They now have a dream date with NPL heavyweights South Coast Wolves!
They play this Wednesday night 7.30pm at O'Neil, so get down and support them as they look to pull of the shock of the tournament.
We are all behind you!
Birthday Celebrations at BDAFA!!
The BDAFA Board and the entire Bankstown Football Community would like to wish our Office Administrator Diane Graham a very happy birthday for Tuesday 21 April.
Diane celebrated her birthday by holding a Bankstown "Footie Chicks" Night in the BDAFA Corporate Box at the Western Sydney Wanderers ACL game.
As the photo shows, the wet weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of the girls representing BDAFA, Birrong, East Bankstown, North Bankstown, Woodville Wanderers and St Christophers.
Nice to know football is alive and well in Bankstown!! 🙂
Game time!

The one and only Paul Wade at BDAFA SAP & RYL training. Special moment for the players, parents and coaches! Not everyday a former Socceroos Captain comes down to training!
Bankstown Easter Treat!
Whilst everyone enjoys a running long weekend before season starts, our Bankstown Regional Youth teams are in Lithgow in the pouring rain hoping to bring back the "coal" to Bankstown.
Stay tuned for more updates and photos throughout the day.
Ps. That really is a coal mine at the fields.
LOCK AND LOAD!
Round 1 of the Draw is now live! With record numbers playing Football in Bankstown this year, and more and more joining day by day it will be a bumper year!
So we will get ready for over 4,500 fixtures this season.
Please note: To make sure that teams remain in appropriate groups and divisions we will monitor the first few round and release the draw in a staggered approach. We will then release the draw for the rest of the season so everyone has a fair go!
